The Empty Mirror- James Lincoln Collier
The Empty Mirror is a haunting story about a troublesome boy who grows up as an orphan, Nick Hodges. After being accused of crimes that he didn't commit, and spotted in places miles from where is really is, Nick begins to think that there is someone out there who is imitating him. But why? As he continues to discover more mysteries, he begins to unlock some of the shocking answers. I, personally, really enjoyed reading this book. It makes you want to think ahead and guess. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in suspenseful stories.

Down the Rabbit Hole is a story about a young girl who finds herself caught in the mysterious death investigation. While trying to avoid being labeled a suspect, she must deal with everyday life, soccer, play practice, and family.
Nancy Drew books, by Caroline Keene are the best. They are about a young girl and usually her two cousins that always end up getting themselves into a mystery. From organ playing ghosts to dissapearing ancient treasure, Nancy always unravels the mystery. These books are great for readers that like suspense.You're always wondering what's gonna happen next?

Nancy Drew: The Bungalow Mystery- Carolyn Keene
The Bungalow Mystery is a very suspenseful, mysterious novel that keeps you wondering until the end. It is about the famous detective, Nancy Drew. Nancy and her friend, Helen Corning, get rescued from a deathly storm on the lake by a girl named Laura Pendleton. Laura is an orphan who is soon going to live with an old family friend, Jacob Aborn and his wife, Marian. When strange things start happening such as the Aborn's disappearing and suspicious over-heard conversations, Nancy, Helen, and Laura become suspicious of the Aborn's and wonder if these people really are Laura's true guardians. Nancy's father, Carson Drew, needs Nancy's help to solve a mystery of his own. Nancy soon finds out that her father's mystery of bank thieves is in connection with her mystery of the untruthful Aborn's. I personally think that this novel is one of the best Nancy Drew books there is. This is why I encourage you to follow Nancy through all the thrills and suspenseful action throughout the book as all of the strange happenings come together down inside an old dilapidated bungalow.
Mystery by Moonlight by Carolyn Keene
George and Bess are house-sitting for George's cousin and they invite Nancy and her boyfriend Ned along for a weekend at the cottage. After hearing many erie noises, Bess is convinced that the house is haunted. They have nasty, suspicious neighbors who cause trouble. On top of that, Jim, an unfriendly man fighting court cases for sacred land to be preserved for his Native American ancestors, acts very suspicious and aggressive. Then Emily, their one friendly neighbor who researches different eras in history, discovers that she is living on the old Malone property. Malone was a famous criminal from the 1920s who owned Emily's house and the cottage that Nancy, George, and Bess are staying at. He stole a whole stash of jewels that the FBI were never able to find. Many secrets about the flooding of the valley, Malone's boathouse and secret passageways, newly discovered love letters from Malone to his fiance Nellie, and even Emily herself, are revealed. A surprising connection between Emily and Malone create an exciting discovery. The excitement never ends and you never know what to expect. It creates page-turning reading! This mystery is appropriate for readers ages 10-13 years old.
The Mystery of the Mother Wolf by Carolyn Keene
Nancy Drew and her friends Bess and George go on vacation at Elk River Ranch. The Wyoming ranch is owned by the Marshalls, friends of Nancy's Aunt Eloise. The Marshalls rescued and tamed a wolf named Rainbow who had five puppies with Grover the husky. Paul, Jenny Marshall's fiance, wants to build a wolf ranch and wildlife education center at Elk River Ranch. When Rainbow and her pups are stolen, nosy neighbors who are concerned about their cattle and fighting court cases against wolf relocation, along with an unfriendly man named Rusty, who's land is full of junk, top Nancy Drew's list of suspects. After a ski lift and dog sledding accident, followed by Pauls's mysterious appearance in a blizzard and clues left in his room, the evidence points to Paul. Would he really put his finance and her family through so much grief? Will Nancy find and save the wolves? Read and find out! This book is great for suspense lovers as it is filled with facts. The suspense and excitement provide great antertainment! This mystery is appropriate for readers ages 10-13 years old.
